Our Beginnings ...

The Gellibrand Community House began in the mid-1980s as a direct result of community need, stemming from the Gellibrand Playgroup. The old Community House building is located in Fry’s Road, Gellibrand River, and was the Colac Technical School’s buildings. While the wording may have changed, the Vision and Mission of the Gellibrand Community House remains the same.

Gelli House is governed by a volunteer Committee of Management that employs two part-time staff - an Operations Coordinator and an Events & Programming Coordinator
... is to provide lifelong learning opportunities and social networks, encouraging people to develop skills, confidence and a sense of community involvement.
Between Gellibrand and Kawarren communities there are a large variety of regular activities and once off events that provide something for everyone
